Sarah was born on Saturday, 10 March 1674 in Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. Sarah married Sgt. Nathaniel Sutliffe, son of Nathaniel Sutliffe and Hannah Plimpton, in 1692 in Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.¹ Sarah's husband, Nathaniel, died on 1 April 1732 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. Sarah departed this life on Saturday, 4 July 1733 in Durham at age 59 years, 3 months and 24 days. She was buried there in the Old Durham Cemetery. The inscription on her tombstone reads: Here lies the body of Mrs Sarah the wife of Sarg. Nathaniel Sutliff who died July 4 1733 in the 60 year of her age.
