Ralph Smyth

     Ralph was born in 1613 in Hingham, County Norfolk, England. Ralph immigrated from Hingham, England in 1633 to Hingham, Massachusetts. Ralph first appears in records in 1637 when he draws a house lot on Bachelor Street near "Pear Tree Hill". Ralph married Elizabeth Hobart, daughter of Edmund Hobart and Margaret Dewey, circa 1639 in Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Ralph's wife, Elizabeth, died circa 1655 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, leaving him a widower; She may have died from complications of child birth on or about 8 March 1654. Ralph married 2nd Grace (?). She was the widow of Thomas Hatch. Ralph departed this life in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. On this date, his wife, Grace, was granted administration to his estate.
