     Tabitha was born in 1690 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Tabitha married William Mapes, son of William Mapes and Hannah Horton, on 21 May 1711 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Tabitha's husband, William, died in January 1747/48 in New York, leaving her a widow. Tabitha departed this life in 1776 in New York at age 86 years.
