October 23, 1833, she married David Stalter at Lancaster, Ohio, and in 1834, came to Wyandot County, Ohio. She died October 21, 1859 and is buried in the Mexico Cemetery. Mr. Stalter married the second wife, and later lived at West Independence, Hancock County, Ohio. He died and was buried March 8, 1892. The above husband and wife were in their early life deprived of educational advantages, having attending school about 6 weeks. They were self-made people, but mastered the German and English languages in a scholarly manner. It is strange that while Mr. Stalter was a bible student he was a universalist. He was of German descent. His name originally spelled Staullter, later Stalder and now Stalter.
