Barbe Pigeon

     Barbe was born circa 18 October 1667 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Pierre Pigeon & Jeanne Godard. On 18 October 1667, she was christened in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 Barbe married Louis Gervais, son of Jean Gervais and Anne Archambault, on 25 November 1686 in Montreal at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 Louis & Barbe had children: Louise [1/02/1695-8/15/1747][m. 8/11/1721 Laurent Bleau], Marie-Barbe [2/03/1697-4/01/1778][m. 6/08/1739 Jean-Baptiste Gauthier], Marie-Anne [1/17/1701-12/16/1780][m, 2/18/1732 Francoise Trudeau], Louis [9/03/1704-12/22/1789][m. 11/10/1732 Charlotte Trudeau], Marie-Charlotte [9/18/1706-8/23/1786][m. 11/22/1735 Francois Bleau] & Philippe [7/13/1708-12/17/1739][m. 10/03/1736 Louise Gautheir].3 Barbe's husband, Louis, died on 19 October 1741 in Montreal, leaving her a widow. Barbe departed this life on Monday, 2 June 1755 in Montreal. She was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Tuesday, 3 June 1755.4
