     John was born on Saturday, 1 March 1686/87 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was christened there on 15 March 1690/91. John married Mary Chatterton on 12 December 1710 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. John and Mary had children: John [8/12/1711-5/04/1776] [m. 12/13/1731 Abigail Ball], Hannah [12/21/1712], Elisha [9/08/1714], Moses [7/26/1716-1738], Keziah [4/28/1718], Ester [4/28/1718], Alexander [1722-5/25/1788], Moses [1724-1/29/1803]. All of these children were born in Wallingford. John departed this life on Saturday, 17 October 1744 in Parsippany at age 57 years, 7 months and 16 days. He was buried at Parsippany, Morris County, New Jersey, in Vail Memorial Cemetery.1
