Mehitable was born in 1666 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. She often went by the name of Mable. Mehitable married John Johnson, son of John Johnson and Hannah Parmelie, on 2 March 1684/85 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.2,3 Mehitable's husband, John, died after 10 December 1712 in New Haven, leaving her a widow. Mehitable departed this life on Thursday, 2 December 1745 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. She was buried there in the Old Durham Cemetery. Here lyes the body of Mahitable Johnson relict of John Johnson, late of New Haven, ae. about 79 years.
