     Merribah was born circa 1593 in Diss, County Norfolk, England, at Frenze Hall. She also is noted as Mary & Merible. Merribah married John Folger before 1609 in Norwich, County Norfolk, England.2 On 1 August 1635, Merribah & her husband, John, John & Maribah, along with their children, left England about 1635, bound for New England. The name of their ship is not known. aboard the ship.3 The family first settled in Dedham, Massachusetts and soon moved to Watertown. Peter went to Martha's Vineyard in 1641 with Thomas Mayhew to teach the Indians. John and Merribah followed sometime around 1652 and remained there for the remainder of their lives. Merribah's husband, John, died circa 1660 in Martha's Vineyard, Duke's County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow. Merribah departed this life in Martha's Vineyard. On 18 October 1664, her son, Peter handled the sale of her estate.
