Jean-Abraham Migneron dit Lajeunesse

Jean-Abraham was born in 1659. A contract for the marriage of Jean-Abraham and Marie-Catherine Delpesche dit Belair was signed between 2 September 1688 and 29 December 1688. The contract states that Abraham was born in the parish of St-Messan, Pouitou, France; the son of Abraham Migneron and Jeannne Aselly. He came to Quebec as a soldier and fought in the campaigne of Villiers. It also stated that she was the daughter of Bernard Delpeche & Marguerite Jourdain. The date was omitted, but record was between these two dates.1 Jean & Catherine had cbildren: Louis [9/08/1689-9/10/1689], Marie-Madeleine [2/05/1691-6/12/1621][m.1/24/1708 Nicolas Laurance], Francois-Joseph [11/23/1694-12/08/1694], Marie Anne [1697-4/03/1755][m. 2/25/1721 Alexis Rivet], Jean-Baptiste [3/29/1699-12/27/1782][m. 8/02/1722 Therese Deguirre dit Larose], Francois [10/31/17012/18/1760][m. 8/19/1726 Marie Catherine Champagne dit St-Martin], Marie-Josephe [9/13/1704-4/23/1787], Marie-Louise [12/26/1706-12/28/1706], Marie-Angelique [12/31/1707-4/__/1779], son [11/14/1709-11/14/1709], Jean [4/--/1711-5/11/1772] & Charles Joseph 11/06/1713-10/07/1714.2 Jean-Abraham's wife, Marie-Catherine, died circa 6 October 1716 in Repentigny, L'Assomption County, Quebec, Canada, leaving him a widower. Jean-Abraham departed this life in Repentigny. He was buried there in the cemetery of the Purificaton-de-la-Blessed-Virgin-Mary on Wednesday, 8 May 1743.3
