Hannah Merriam

     Hannah was born on Tuesday, 16 May 1651 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was the daughgter of Nathaniel Merriam and Joan Lines. Hannah married John Ives, son of William Ives and Hannah Dickerman, on 12 November 1668.¹ John & Hannah had children: John [1669-1747], Hannah [1672-1715], Joseph [1674-1755], Nathaniel [1677-1711] & Gideon [1680-1767], all these children were born in Wallingford. Hannah's husband, John, died in February 1681 in Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow.¹ Hannah departed this life in 1703 in Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was buried there in the Center Street Cemetery.²
