Barbe Carrier

     Barbe was born on Tuesday, 7 February 1708 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. She was te daughter of Charles Carrier & Marie Geseron. She was christened there on 8 February 1708 in St-Joseph Church.1 Barbe married Charles-Joseph Guay, son of Louis Guyet and Marie-Susanne Samson, on 12 October 1729 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at St-Joseph Church.2 Charles-Joseph & Barbe had children: Charles [7/16/1730][m. 2/01/1752 Marie Catherine Samson], Joseph [6/22/1732] & Andre [3/30/1734-4/01/1775][m. 11/07/1752 Marie-Genevieve Poire].3 Barbe's husband, Charles-Joseph, died on 24 November 1735 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon leaving her a widow. Barbe departed this life on Wednesday, 6 January 1762 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at age 53 years, 10 months and 30 days. She was buried there in the cemetery of St-Joseph on Thursday, 7 January 1762.4
