Caleb Carr

     Caleb was born circa 1652 in Newport County, Rhode Island. Caleb married Phillippa Greene, daughter of John Greene and Anna Almy, circa 1677 in Warwick, Kent County, Rhode Island. Caleb and Phillip had children: Robert [7/02/1678-d.y.], Caleb [3/20/1679] [m. 4/30 1701 Joanna Slocum], William [10/16/1681-3/__/1711] [m. 2/08/1709 Abigail Barker], Robert [1683-10/12/722] [m. 10/01/1708 Hannah Hale], Mary [1685] [m. 9/23/1708 Benjamin Peckham], Job [1685-6/23/1753] [m. 1712 Mehatible Sherman] & Phyllis [12/08 1688] [m. 4/21/1709 Edward Boss].1 Caleb made his will on 27 January 1688 at Jamestown, Newport County, Rhode Island. His will provides for wife Phillip; eldest son Caleb; sons William, Robert and Job; daughters Mary Carr and Phillip Carr, who were not yet 18; cousin Nicholas Carr; father Major John Greene; and brother-in- law, Peter Greene. His wife was appointed executrix.1 Caleb departed this life in Jamestown. His will was probated on 3 March 1690 at Newport County, Rhode Island.
