     Jacob was born in October 1766 in Springettsbury Manor, Manchester Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Jacob married Nancy Geil, daughter of Jacob Geil and Anna Clymer, circa 1795 in Rockingham County, Virginia. Around 1803, Jacob & his family resided at Berne, Fairfield County, Ohio. In 1832, the family resided at McCutchinsville, Wyandot Co., Ohio. The 1820 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Pleasant Township, Fairfield County, Ohio, the family of Jacob Bery [111301:21201].3 The 1840 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Tymochtee Township, Wyandot County, Ohio, the family of Jacob Beery [1100100001:100010001].4 Jacob departed this life on Saturday, 12 February 1842 in McCutchinsville, Tymochtee Township at age 75 years and 4 months. He was buried there at McCutchinsville, Tomochtee Township in Bibler Cemetery.5

Immigrated from Switzerland to Pennsylvania in 1727, pages 20-21 - Jacpb Beery was born in Rockingham Co., Va., late in the year 1766, and died near McCutchenville, Wyandot County, Ohio, Feb. 12, 1842. He married Nancy Geil of German ancestry, in 1795. She was born in Pennsylvania in April, 1775, and died Nov. 9, 1850. Both are buried in the Bibler cemetery near McCutchenville, Wyandot County, Ohio. In a few years after their marriage in Virginia they emigrated to Fairfield, Co., Ohio, in 1803, and settled in the woods near Berne Station, just east of Lancaster, where they opened a fine farm, now owned by Frank Beery (son of Lewis, Sr. See Abe Beery History Nos. 47 and 158.) In 1832 this worthy family moved to near McCutchenville, Wyandot Co., were these early pioneers invested largely in government lands and accumulated a large fortune. They were a hearty, robust couple as evidenced by their posterity, who were a matter of fact people.
