Amy was born in 1802 in Liberty Township, Crawford County, Ohio. Amy married Henry Beery, son of Jacob Beery and Nancy Geil, in 1827 in Fairfield County, Ohio. Henry & Amy had children: Elisabeth [1/02/1828-12/04/1856], Nancy [3/18/1829-10/02/1911][m. Warwick Nedry], Harrison [8/01/1830][m. Eliza Nedry], Barbara [5/15/1832-1905][m. William G. Burrier], Henry Jr. [12/18/1834-3/18/1889][m. Mary Jane Stalter], Martha [11/20/1835-4/26/1915][m. Daniel Price], Martin [6/20/1839-1/24/1879][m. Miriam Griffith]. Kathryne [6/13/1844-1913][m. H. C, Pittman], & Anna [12/28/1846-3/10/1920][m. George Carrick]. In 1827, the family moved to Seneca County, Ohio. He was a great reader. During the gold rush, Henry & his son, Harrison went to Pikes Peak to try their luck with little success. They continued on with his farming in Ohio. 5 November 1850, Amy and her husband, Henry, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Eden Township, Seneca County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Henry Beery [50 Pennsylvania], his wife: Amy [42 Pennsylvania], children: Harrison [20 Ohio], Barbara [18 Ohio], Henry [16 Ohio], Martha [14 Ohio], Martin [12 Ohio], Catharaina [7 Ohio] & Ann [4 Ohio].1 7 July 1860, Amy and her husband, Henry, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census living in the home of their son at Eden Township. Enumerated in this household were Henry Beery [26 Ohio], Henry Bury [60 Pennsylvania], his wife: Amy [51 Pennsylvania], Martha [23 Ohio], Martin [21 Ohio], Kate [17 Ohio] & Ann [13 Ohio]. The enumerator is Henry Smith.2 Amy's husband, Henry, died on 4 December 1868 in Eden Township leaving her a widow. Amy departed this life on Wednesday, 15 March 1893 in Melmore at age 91 years. She was buried there in Brundage Cemetery.
