     William was born in 1600 in England. William married Martha (?) in 1625 in England. In April 1635, William left from Lydd, County Kent, England aboard the ship, "Elizabeth", bound for New England. He was accompanied to America by his brothers: Gabriel & David. They arrived in 1635..4 They first settled in Wethersfield, Connecticut & later in Stamford where William received a home & five acres of land on the 7th of December 1641. William's wife, Martha, died on 16 September 1657 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, leaving him a widower. William departed this life in 1663 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
