Nehemiah Ludlum

Nehemiah was born circa 1692 in Jamaica, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of William Ludlum III and Patience Smith. Nehemiah married Phebe Meeker, daughter of Benjamin Meeker and Phebe Clark, circa 1719. Nehemiah and Phebe had children: Joannah [1720], Nehemiah [1722] & Phebe [1729-1810] [m. 10/19/1748 Samuel Denton]. Nehemiah made his will on 13 April 1750 at Jamaica, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
He names his daughter, Phebe, wife of Samuel Dentonh and Joannah, son Nehemiah [minor], brothers, William Ludlam and Isaac Ludlu; sister Sarah Jones, Phebe, Martha, and Deborah. [broter Isaac and to each sister, 10 pounds] Executors: wife and brother-in-law Nehemiah Denton.1
Nehemiah departed this life before 24 April 1750 in Jamaica. His will was probated on 24 April 1750.
