Francois Lemaitre

     Francois was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 9 February 1656 in the Cathedral de l'Assomption.¹ Francois married Marguerite Poulin on 7 January 1683 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, at the Cathedral de l'Assomption.² Framcois and Marguerite had children: Francoise Perrine [8/08/1684-9/11/1686], Louis 7/29/1687-9/16/1687], Francoise 8/16/1688-1/16/1722][m. 8/04/1704 Jean Jacques Leber], Marie Anne Francoise [11/05/1689-][m. 9/13/1709 Francois Abel Berey dit Desecors], Jean Francois [1/07/1691-7/05/1691], Marguerite Charlotte [8/21/1692-2/20/1762][m. 12/271743 Nicolas Gabriel Aubin Delise], Jeanne Therese [8/12/1693-8/17/1693], Francois [10/01/1694-3/21/1766][m. 2/14/1722 Olive Pelagie Arguin], Marie Josephe [11/02/1695-3/11/1703], Marie Madeleine [12/12/1696-4/10/1703], Etienne [4/30/1698-4/15/1703], Pierre Maurice [10/02/1701-10/31/1701] & Antoine [6/05/1703-][m. 5/04/1724 Marie Francoise Lefebvre]. [Note - The children dying in 1703 quite likely died of scarlet fever. The children with no death dates may also have died of the disease as an epidemic ravaged Quebec during that time. - KLM]³ Francois departed this life on Sunday, 13 May 1703 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Monday, 14 May 1703.⁴
