     Valentine Seaman Leggett was born on Sunday, 13 October 1861 at Waterford Township, Oakland County, Michigan, at 11:30 pm. He went by the nickname Tinie. Valentine departed this life on Wednesday, 25 March 1863 in Waterford Township at age 1 year, 5 months and 12 days. Valentine was buried at the Sashabaw Cemetery in the Sashabaw Plains, Independence Township, Oakland County, Michigan, in the same lot as his grandparents next to his brother. He has a small square stone "Tinie L." marking his grave.
