     Luce was born on Monday, 5 February 1798 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened on the same day there in Ste-Montmorency Church.1 Luce married Pierre Ayotte, son of Alexis Ayotte and Marie Louise Lecoq dit Ladouceur, on 26 February 1827 in Louiseville, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine-de-la-Riviiere-du-Loup Church.2 Pierre and Luce had children: Dosithee [7/28/1828][m. 4/16/1849 Eloise Chretien], Pierre [12/06/1829-12/06/1829], Joseph [12/06/1829-12/06/1829], Timothee [3/07/1831], Marie Aurise [11/04/1832], Pierre Ludger [7/21/1834-8/16/1834], Pierre [7/23/1835], Marie Caroline [6/21/1837-3/22/1838] & Marie [5/02/1839-5/09/1839].3
