     Caleb was born on Tuesday, 2 May 1730 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Caleb married Maplet Forwelling. Caleb was a Quaker. The family lived upon a farm in New Castle, 2i miles easterly from the Friends' Meeting House at Shappaqua. He was assessor and commissioner of roads in New Castle, 1791. Caleb married 2nd Anna Hoag on 16 December 1802 in New York. Caleb made his will on 20 June 1817. He mentions his wife Anna, many children and grandchildren. Caleb departed this life on Wednesday, 1 March 1820 in New Castle, Westchester County, New York. His will was probated on 21 March 1820. The will was recorded at White Plains, New York.
