Marie was born circa 1654 in Rouen, Seine-Maritime, Normandy, France. In the spring of 1668, Marie left her home in France aboard the ship, "La Novelle France", departing from La-Rochelle, under command of Alain Durand. She was one of 81 "Filles-du-Roi". They arrived in Quebec on the 3rd of July..¹ Marie married Michel Morel dit Parisien in 1670. Marie's husband, Michel, died circa 19 September 1679 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marie married 2nd Claude Robillard on 4 March 1681 in Quebec, Canada. She is the widow of Michel Morel.² 1681, Marie and her husband, Claude, were listed on the Canadian Census in Champlain. Enumerated in this household were Claude Robillard [35 years], hs wife: Marie Grandin [21 years], Marie [8 years], Claude [3 years], Adrien [2 years] & Francois Morel [11 years].³ Marie departed this life in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Wednesday, 31 October 1708.⁴
