Louis was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 24 November 1663 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 Louis married Barbe Pigeon on 25 November 1686 in Montreal at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 Louis & Barbe had children: Louise [1/02/1695-8/15/1747][m. 8/11/1721 Laurent Bleau], Marie-Barbe [2/03/1697-4/01/1778][m. 6/08/1739 Jean-Baptiste Gauthier], Marie-Anne [1/17/1701-12/16/1780][m, 2/18/1732 Francoise Trudeau], Louis [9/03/1704-12/22/1789][m. 11/10/1732 Charlotte Trudeau], Marie-Charlotte [9/18/1706-8/23/1786][m. 11/22/1735 Francois Bleau] & Philippe [7/13/1708-12/17/1739][m. 10/03/1736 Louise Gautheir].3 Louis departed this life in Montreal. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Friday, 20 October 1741.4
