Marie-Josephte Duteau

Marie-Josephte was born in Ile-DuPas, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Pierre Duteau dit Vilandre and Marie Francoise Casaubon. She was christened there on 3 May 1732 in the church of La Visitation.1 She was first married 5 February 1754 to Jean-Baptiste Rainville. Marie-Josephte married 2nd Pierre Bergeron, son of Jacques Bergeron and Marie-Anne Dubois, on 14 November 1768 in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada, at St-Pierre Church.2 Pierre and Marie-Josephte had children: Elisabeth [6/07/1769-3/30/1831] [m. 11/04/1788 Louis-Joseph Plante], Pierre [4/16/1772-7/04/1772], Pierre [4/13/1773-5/24/1773] & Pelagie [3/26/1776].3 Marie-Josephte departed this life in Sorel. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Pierre on Wednesday, 16 November 1791.4
