John was born in England. John married Margaret Thany, daughter of Roger Thany, after 1317 in County Essex, England. He leaves the Manor of Stapleford Thany to his son Thomas. Margaret brought the manors of Stapleford-Tany and Eastwick into the marriage. In 1329, Margery Weston, widow of Margaret's brother, Lawrence, granted a quit claim deed releasing her dower rights to the manors. John departed this life in 1341 in county Essex, England, at the Manor of Stapleford Tany.
