Barton Greenland

     Barton was born on Sunday, 6 November 1836 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of Nathan & Matilda [Ramsey] Greenland. Barton married Susan Jane Baird, daughter of Theophilus Baird and Elizabeth Cornelius, circa 1860 in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Barton & Susan had children: Elmer Lincoln [10/05/1861-12/06/1861], Laura Ann [11/07/1862-4/10/1951], Letetia May [4/24/1864-11/21/1934], Edwin Blair [2/22/1866-3/20/1928], Margery Jane [3/18/1868-6/10/1935], Alice Elenor [12/04/1870-7/23/1949], Curtis Adi [8/15/1872-12/10/1939], Hiram Seliby [6/02/1878-6/02/1878], and Harry Benjamin [2/23/1875-1924]. Barton departed this life on Monday, 26 September 1898 in Union Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, at age 61 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was buried there in Old School Baptist Cemetery.
