FatherRobert Danvers b. c 1225, d. b 1316
Simon was born circa 1258 in Wiltshire, England, at the Manor of Bourten. He was the eldest son. Simon married Alice (?) circa 1294 in England. In 1316, Simon had taken his father's place and was summoned to military service as Lord of Bourton, etc. In the 13th year of Edward II [1319-1320], Simon & his wife Alice settled an estate for life in Little Bourten on a certain William Danvers Jr. but it does not indicate what relationship William is to Simon. However, after the death of Simon & his wife, ownership was to pass to son John & his wife Elizabeth [some translated it as Isabella]. His son John was his heir. The following year, Simon gives land to his daughter Alice & her husband Geoffrey de Stokes & their son Geoffrey was mentioned as well. In that same year, he gives an estate to his daughter Isabel & her husband William de Rufford. The last he was noted on public record was 1327 where he appears on a Subsidy Roll as of Little Bourten in Oxfordshire.1 Simon departed this life in 1327 or within the next 3 to 4 years. in the Manor of Little Bourten, Oxfordshire, England.1
