Neale Clarke

M, b. before 1632, d. before 3 July 1676
     Neale was born before 1632. Neale married Comfort Puddington, daughter of George Puddington and Jane Cornish, circa 1659 in Anne Arundel County. Neale's wife, Comfort, died in 1660 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, leaving him a widower. Neale married 2nd Rachel Beard, daughter of Richard Beard III and Rachel Robins, circa 1661 in South River, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, at All Hallow's Parish. Neale made his will on 25 September 1675.

In the name of God amen
The twenty fifth day of September in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand Six hundred and Seventy five, I neale Clarke in the County of Anarundell Planter being Sick and weake of Body but of perfect minde and memory Thanks be given Unto God, therefore, Calling unto minde the mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is certain, and appointed for all men once to dye, do make and ordain my last will and testament in manner and form following:
First and principally I give my Soule unto the Lord who gave it me, and keep it in his Custody hoping he will give me Remission and freely pardon all my Sinns, and as for my Body I Commend it to the earth to be buried, in Christian & decent manner, nothing doubting, but at the generall Resurrection, I shall Receive the Same againe by the mighty power of God ; and as touching such worldly estate, wherewith it hath pleased God to blesse me in this life I bequeath the same in manner and form following
Imprimis I give and Bequeath Unto my lawfull wedded wife Rachell Clk. My debts being first paid out, all the Residue and Remainder of all my estate both personal and Reall, do make her my Sole Executrix of it all in what kinde or Sorte Soever it be, the plantation and The benefitt thereof to her so long as She keeps herself a widow and if She marry the benefit thereof is to be hers till my Sonns Neale and Richard be at eighteen yeares old;
Secondly I ordaine my Children to be free at eighteen years old, if theyr mother marry, and if She do not marry they are to be ffree at one and twenty yeares of age
Thirdly I bequeath Unto my Sonne neal Clarke the plantation whereon I live and the land theretoo belonging, and to my Sonne Richard Clarke the fowre hundred and foure acres of land lying on the South Side of South River Called Clarks Inheritance, and in Case of his mortality to his brother neale, and iin Case of both theyr mortalities, to the three girls equally to be divided among them:
Fourth I ordaine in this my last will and testament my two boys to be brought up to Learning and in the feare of God hoping that She will ‘Se this my last will & testament performed; as witness my hand and Seale the day and yeare above written

Neale departed this life in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. His will was probated on 3 July 1676.
