Nicholas Bullingham

     Nicholas was born circa 1520 in Worchestershire, England. He finished his education at Cambridge University receiving his law degree. Nicholas then entered the church and soon after became the private chaplin of Queen Elizabeth I. Later he became the Bishop of Lincoln during the years 1560 to 1571 and Bishop of Worchester from 1570 to 1576. Nicholas married Elizabeth Lock, daughter of Sir William Lock and Lady Katherine Cook, in December 1569 in London, County Middlesex, England.1 Nicholas departed this life in 1576 in Worchestershire, England. He was buried at Worchestershire, England, in Cathedral of Worchester. His tomb is unsual with an inscribed tablet on his stomach.2
