     Henry was born circa 1527 in Witham, County Essex, England. Henry was of Edwardstone, County Suffolk, and later of Prittlewell, County Essex, England. He owned lands in Polsted, Boxford, and as well as in Eswardstone, all within a 1 and a half radius. Henry married Agnes (?) circa 1550 in England. Henry's wife, Agnes, died on 17 December 1590 in Milton in the parish of Prittlewell, County Essex, England, leaving him a widower. Henry married 2nd Margaret (?) after 17 December 1590 in England. Henry made his will on 23 June 1593 at the parish of Prittlewell, County Essex, England.

In the name of God, Amen - The three and twentieth of June in the year of xxxvst year of the reign of our sovereign Lady Elizabeth of England, France and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith. I, Henry Browne, of Milton in the parish of Prittlewell in the county of Essex, yeoman, do ordain and make this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following. First and before all other things, I give and bequeath my soul to Almighty God who created me and made me, and to Jesus Christ who hath redeemed me and to the Holy Spirit who sanctifieth me acknowledging the three persons to be one God.
Item, I give to Margaret, my wife, twenty pounds of lawful English money to be paid to her so long as it shall please God to give her life and that to be paid every six months ten pounds to begin at my death out of my --- and to be paid by my executor and all other goods that she brought to me, as household, corn, catell and leases and my part of the ship.
Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Margery, now the wife of Mr. Weston, vicar of Wormingfourde, my house and land which I bought of Mr. Hanam to her and to the heirs of her that she had by her husband Speade.
Item, I give to John Speade, her son, fifty pounds to be paid to him on the day of his marriage or at his age of four and twenty years. And the like portion, I give to her son, Benjamin and to her daughter, Anne, to be paid to them by my executor in the order before set down provided that if any of them die before the time appointed of their receipt then I will that that portion shall to her next children if God give her any more.
Item, I give to my daughter, Anne Snelling, my dye house in Boxforde Street and to her heirs with all things there to belonging.
Item, I give Anne Snelling, her daughter, forty pounds to be paid to her at the day of her marriage by her father who hath it with -----.
Item, I give and bequeath to Joane Hilles, my daughter, my house and land in Polsted and her heirs.
Item, I give to William Hilles, her son, fifty pounds to be paid to him by his father at the day of his marriage or at the age of four and twenty years.
Item, I give to her daughter, Joane Hilles, fifty pounds to be paid at the day of her marriage or the age of four and twenty years by my executor
Item, I give to Elizabeth Hilles, fifty pounds to be paid bymy exeutor at the time or times before appointed provided that if any of them die before he or she receives their portion, that that portion shall go to her next child if God send her anymore.
Item, I give and bequeath to Anne Winthrop, my daughrer, my mansion house with the two tenements as I bought them of Thomas Galthropp and also Churches that I bought of Robert Galle and to her heirs and also the household stuff , corne, the horse, brasts, hogs, and ----.
Item, I give to John Winthrop fifty pounds, to Anne Winthrop fifty pounds and to Jane Winthrop fifty pounds to be paid to every of them by my executor and every of them shall come to their age of four and twenty years or their day of marriage by my executor.
Item, I give to my brother, Raven, my best gown and to my sister, his wife, forty shillings to be paid her by my executor and to --- of her children forty shillings in money as they come to th e age of four and twenty years or the day of their marriage by my executor.
Item, I give to every of brother Browne, his children forty shillings to be paid to them by my executor within one year next after my death.
Item, I give and bequeath to John Bowne's children twenty shillings to be paid by my wife, and to every of ---- his children twenty shilling to be paid by my wife out of my ship.
Item, I give to John Freeborne my ----, ------------------------- of my apparel
I give my cloth gown unto John Wade.
Item, I give to the poor of Prittlewell three pounds to be distributed by my wife out of the shipp.
Item, I give three pounds to the poor of Edwardstone to be paid by my esedutor.
Item, I give to Mr. Sands forty shillings to be paid by my executor, Adam Wnthrop.
To Mr. ---- forty shillings To Mr. Dent forty shillings, to Mr. Gueson forty shillings, to be paid to every of them by my wife out of my ship in one year after my death.

Henry departed this life in 1596 in Milton in the parish of Prittlewell, County Essex, England. He was buried at County Essex, England, in the yard of the Church in the parish of Prittlewell. His will was probated on 27 January 1597.
