Samuel was born circa 18 December 1728 in Ashby-Puerorum, Lincolnshire, England. On 18 December 1728, he was christened in Ashby-Puerorum, Lincolnshire, England, at St. Andrews Church.¹ Samuel married Mary Woodal, daughter of Walter Woodal and Mary Gladwin, on 14 May 1755 in Mavis Enderby, Lincolnshire, England, at St. Michael Church.² Samuel departed this life in Mavis Enderby. He was buried there in the churchyard of St. Michael's on Wednesday, 14 June 1797.³
