Catherine Michelle Godefroy dit Vieuxpont

     Catherine was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Joseph Godefroy de Vieuxpont & Catherine Poulin. She was christened there on 24 November 1680 in the Cathedral de l'Assomption.¹ Catherine Michelle married Jean Baptiste Lemaitre dit Lalonge, son of Francois Lemaitre and Judith Riguad, on 22 November 1696 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.² Jean & Catherine had children: child [1/14/1698-1/14/1698], Catherine [5/27/1699-6/09/1699, [Marguerite [5/07/1700-1/04/1722][m. 1/22/1719 Charles-Francois Gaillard], Maurice [3/02/1702-5/28/1753][m. 7/19/1738 Marie Madeleine Moreau], Judith [6/23/1703-5/24/1739][m. 11/03/1733 Jean-Baptiste Pothier], Catherine [2/28/1705], Marie Josephe [5/22/1706], Michelle Catherine [7/31/1707-5/301715], Marie-Madeleine [12/29/1708][m. 10/30/1729 Charles Banhiac] & [Jean 11/10/1710].³ She remarried on 5 February 1730 to Jacques Aubuchon dit Lesperance at Louisville.⁴ Catherine departed this life in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada.⁵ She was buried there in the churchyard of L'Assomption on Wednesday, 4 June 1760.⁶
