     Raymond Arthur was born on Friday, 22 December 1911 in Upper Sandusky, Crane Township, Wyandot County, Ohio. Raymond married Ruby May Christman on 31 March 1940 in Crawford County, Ohio. 25 April 1940, the U.S. Federal Census listed Raymond and his wife, Ruby, living in the home of his sister at Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio, at 25 East Arch Street. Enumerated in this household were Waldo R Blackledge [35 Ohio], his wife: Thelma R. [31 Ohio], brother-in-law: Raymond A Beery [29, Ohio], sister-in-law: Ruby M Beery [20 Ohio]. Waldo was working Stan Manufacturing Company in the Production Department for a yearly income of $1575; Raymond is working at the same place in the Shipping Department for a yearly income of $400.¹ Raymond & Ruby had one son, Robert LeRoy [8/08/1940-7/13/1986]. Raymond departed this life on Thursday, 9 May 1963 in Mansfield at age 51 years, 4 months and 17 days. He was buried there in Mansfield Memorial Park on Monday, 13 May 1963.
