Lucas Baum

     Lucas was born in 1816 in Ohio. Lucas married Elizabeth Beery, daughter of Jacob Beery and Nancy Geil, on 19 February 1837 in Wyandot County, Ohio. 29 October 1850, Lucas and his wife, Elizabeth, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Texas Township, Crawford County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Lucas Baum [34 Ohio], his wife: Elizabeth [24 Ohio], children: Harriett [12 Ohio], Mary J. [9 Ohio], Jacob P. [7 Ohio], Nancy [4 Ohio], & Anna [2 Ohio].¹ Lucas's wife, Elizabeth, died on 19 April 1851 in Texas Township leaving him a widower. After the death of his wife, Lucas & his family moved to Missouri. He married again 14 years later. He lived in Douglas, Butler County, Kansas when he was 78 years old.
