Benjamin Barnes

     Benjamin was born circa 1672 in East Hampton, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He was a son of William Barnes. He married first, Abigail Linsley and had the following children: Eleanor [bap. 9/__/1700-7/02/1778][m. John Baldwin], Abigail [bap. 8/__/1701-1745][m. Joseph Darwin], Daniel [bap. 7/__/1704][m. 3/21/1727 Ann Brockett], Nathaniel [bap. 10/__/1707-4/28/1781][m. 11/16/1732 Eliabeth Bartholmew & 2nd Sarah], Thomas [bap. 7/__/1710-10/10/1750][m. 12/06/1733 Phebe Barnes], Ebenezer [nap. 2/07/1714][m. Abigail Pardee] & Thankful [bap. 5/27/1716][m. 1744 Stephen Lee]. All the children were baptised in Branford. Benjamin married 2nd Hannah Sutliffe, daughter of Nathaniel Sutliffe and Hannah Plimpton, in Branford, New Haven County, Connecticut.1 Benjamin departed this life on Saturday, 23 July 1740 in Branford.
