Thomas Welling II

     Thomas was born on Friday, 9 February 1759. He was the son of Thomas Welling of Long Island. Thomas married Sibylla Beardsley, daughter of Colonel Charles Beardsley and Mary Cary, circa 1785 in Sussex County, New Jersey. Thomas and Sibyl had children: Thomas [7/08/1786-11/13/1848][m. Ann Coleman], Edward L. [4/23/1788-1855], John [9/29/1790-12/06/1868][m. Ann Field Wortman], Hannah [1792-1/30/1872][m. Isaac Winans], Sibyl [1794]Charles [1796], Anna [1798], Elizabeth [8/10/1799] & Lois. On the map of her father's estate, it notes Sibilla as Sibyll Welsey. Thomas departed this life in 1814 in Warwick, Orange County, New York, at age 54 years. He was buried there in Warwick in Warwick Cemetery.
