Amos was born in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. On 22 April 1744, he was christened in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut.2 Sometime after 1750, he moved to Granville, Massachusetts where his brothers had settled. Amos married Margary Munson circa 1766 in Granville, Hampden County, Massachusetts. Amos and Margery had children: Curtiss [8/11/1679-5/12/1857] [m. 1792 Rachel Coe], Ruth [5/08/1773-2/20/1761], Orpha [8/13/1775-10/__/1837] Amos [12/13/1776-8/03/1860] [m. 12/11/1805 Anna Hamilton], Margery [2/27/1779], Truman [9/271780-7/27/1865] [m. 9/__/1808 Sarah Lindsey].3 Amos made his will on 7 January 1829 at Granville, Hampden County, Massachusetts. Amos departed this life on Tuesday, 4 October 1836 in Granville at age 92 years, 5 months and 12 days. He was buried there in West Granville Cemetery.4 His will was probated in 1836.
