     Nathaniel was born circa 1670 in the Town of Hempstead, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Nathaniel married, daughter of Henry Willis II and Mary Peace, the 9th day of the 8th month 1695 in the home of Rachael's parents, Henry & Mary Willis, Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York.3 He and Rachael were blessed with 9 children. Nathaniel was an active worker in the Society of Friends [Quaker]. He held the Friends meetings often in his home. Rachael was also a Quaker. In 1693, his father conveyed 316 acres at the harbor head to him and his brother Richard. In 1702, he is called of Westbury. Nathaniel and Rachael inherited part of the homestead of Rachael's father which included the family home which was built in 1688. 31 August 1698, Nathaniel and Rachael and his wife, [ROF:Hempstead Town] were listed on the Hempstead Town Census. Enumerated in this household were Martha Seaman [mother], Nathaniel Seaman, Rachael, Rachael Jr., Martha Carman, [probably daughter of Nathaniel's sister, Hannah]. Nathaniel departed this life on Tuesday, 9 October 1759 in Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Quaker records have his death as 9 October 1757 verses the date given in Mary Thomas Seaman's book.
