Anne Paviot

     She was christened on the same day there in St-Pierre Church.¹ Anne was born on Sunday, 25 February 1674 in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada. A contract for the marriage of Charles Meusnier dit Duval & Anne Paviot was signed on 4 August 1688. The contract was drawn up by the notary Benigne Basset of Ile de Montreal. It is not certain that the marriage contract was not fulfilled.² A contract for the marriage of Jean-Baptiste Gibeau & Anne Paviot was signed on 13 September 1692. The contract was drawn up ny the notary Pierre Menard.³ Anne married Jean-Baptiste Gibeau on 13 September 1692.⁴ Jean-Baptiste & Anne had children: Marie-Anne [9/03/1693-2/11/1764][m. 7/28/1710 Rene Benard], Gabriel [10/17/1694-9/16/1781][m. 3/03/1722 Marguerite Deemers], Marie-Madeleine [9/07/1696-2/26/1771][m. 4/28/1722 Joseph Rheaume], Louise-Marguerite [7/11/1698-3/25/1759][m. 8/08/1718 Jean-Baptiste Emond], Jean-Baptiste [6/22/1702][m. 5/15/1723 Elisabeth Duclos], Philibert [6/08/1703-2/01/1752][m. 11/23/1727 Francoise Lecuyer], Pierre [9/25/1704-9/03/1755][m. 11/14/1735 Marie-Josephte Lacage], Marie-Anne [5/22/1708-3/29/1758][m. 1/05/1728 Francois Chevrier], Etienne [7/06/1709-3/12/1761][m. 1/07/1741 Catherine Dubois] & Angelique [1715][m. 7/24/1730 Jean-Baptiste St-Denis & 2nd 1/15/1742 Jean-Baptiste Moret].⁵ Anne's husband, Jean-Baptiste, died on 16 March 1745 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow.⁶ Anne departed this life on Thursday, 26 March 1750 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at age 76 years, 1 month and 1 day. She was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Friday, 27 March 1750.⁷
