Daniel Normandin

     Daniel was born on Monday, 11 April 1661 in La Rochelle, Charente, Poitou-Charentes, France. He was the son of Jacob Normandin & Marie Viau. He was christened there on 17 April 1661 in the Calvinist Temple.¹ Daniel married Louise Ayotte, daughter of Jean Hayot and Louise Pelletier, on 11 February 1687 in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada, at St-Pierre Church.² Daniel & Louise had children: Marie-Louise [12/02/1687-12/17/1687], Marie Claire [12/20/1688], Francois [6/26/1691][m.3/01/1719 Marie Genevieve Gateau], Madeleine [7/14/1694][m. 4/09/1717 Guillaume Bily dit St-Louis], Pierre [12/12/1696-5/10/1730][m. 11/30/1730 Marie-Josephe Burle], Marie Francoise [2/12/1699-5/05/1789][m. 6/22/1733 Louis Guillet dit Cinqmars] & Marie-Josephte [6/11/1703-6/20/1776][m. 1/11/1734 Michel Burel].³ Daniel's wife, Louise, died circa 26 March 1720 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada, leaving him a widower. Daniel departed this life in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois Xavier on Sunday, 18 September 1729.⁴
