She was christened there in 1643 in St-Pierre Church.1 Marguerite-Madeleine was born in Amiens, Picardie, Somme, France. She was the daughter of Julien Morisseau & Anne Brelancour.2 Marguerite-Madeleine married Francois Pelletier, son of Nicolas Pelletier and Jeanne DeVoisy, on 26 September 1661 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.3 Francois & Marguerite-Madeleine had children: Marie-Angelique [10/14/1662-3/18/1741][m. 1680 Francois Lamontagne dit Badayac & 2nd 5/25/1709 Antoine Gerlaise], Francois-Xavier [12/02/1763-1/09/1698][m. 5/02/1690 Madeleine Tune dit Dufresne], Joseph [3/22/1665], Marguerite-Agnes [8/30/1666][m. 5/07/1685 Charles Boucher], Genevieve [3/16/1668][m. 5/14/1690 Jacques Desgagnes], Catherine [1672-1/27/1743][m. 11/12/1697 Denis Foucault], Michel [1674][m. 7/09/1697 Francoise Meneu], Pierre [7/16/1676-2/09/1757][m. 8/13/1703 Marie Marguerite Rousseau], Elisabeth [9/16/1677-1681] & Louise [9/22/1678-11/25/1703][m. 8/13/1703 Jean-Baptiste Deblois dit Gregoire].4 1667, Marguerite-Madeleine and her husband, Francois, were listed on the Canadian Census in ville de Quebec. Enumerated in this household were Francois Pelletier [32 years], Marguerite Moricau [24 years], Marie Angelique [5 years], Francois Xavier [4 years], Joseph [2 years] & Marguerite Agnes [15 months].5 Marguerite-Madeleine's husband, Francois, died between 14 May 1690 and 9 July 1697 in ville de Quebec leaving her a widow.6 Marguerite-Madeleine departed this life on Thursday, 15 December 1707 in ville de Quebec at Hotel-Dieu. On the same day, she was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame.7
