Francoise Meran

     Francoise was born on Saturday, 25 November 1747 in Deschambault, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened on the same day there in the church of St-Joseph.¹ Francoise married Joseph-Marie Paquin on 21 February 1776 in Deschambault at the church of St-Joseph.² Joseph-Marie & Francoise had children: Joseph Marie [3/23/1777], Paul [4/15/1778-7/18/1847][m. 11/26/1805 Francoise Mathieu & 2nd 11/08/1815 Marie-Louise Gosselin], Francoise [2/13/1780-2/05/1821][m. 1/08/1805 Michel Toussaint], Joseph [4/23/1781][m. Josephe Bouchard], Pierre [3/28/1783], Jean [8/20/1784-6/04/1852][m. 10/05/1819 Josephe Sauvageau], Francois [7/18/1786][m. 10/11/1825 Marguerite Perron] & Marie Victoire [4/08/1789][m. 1/30/1815 Richard Laurent dit Lecuyer].³ Francoise's husband, Joseph-Marie, died on 7 January 1821 in Deschambault leaving her a widow. Francoise departed this life on Sunday, 13 April 1828 in Deschambault at age 80 years, 4 months and 19 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Joseph on Tuesday, 15 April 1828.⁴
