John was born circa 1630 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. John married Hannah Brown circa 1656 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. John & Hannah had children: John, Joseph, Hannah, Ebenezer, Jonathan, David, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Samuel, Abigail & Mary. In the spring of 1657, John & his brother Joseph and their families, moved to Hempstead. They later returned to Connectiut. On the 26th of October 1660, he purchased all the houses & lands along with their apurtenances belonging to Richard Crabb in Greenwich. John departed this life on Thursday, 5 February 1698/99 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
