John Cornelius

     John was born circa 1663 in New York. He was the son of Arent Corneilus and Patientia Patrick. John married Mary Yates, daughter of Francis Yates and Dorothy Marsh, on 7 August 1682 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York.¹ John & Mary had children: John, Daniel, Samuel, Joseph, Deborah, Mary, Phebe & Sarah. 1698, John and his wife, [ROF:Flushing Town] were listed on the Flushing Town Census. Enumerated in this household were John Cornelius, his wife: Mary, their sons: John, Dani’ll, Sam’ll, Joseph & daughters: Deborah, Mary, Phebe, Sarah and a negro: Zambo.
