Mary Welch

     Mary was born in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Thomas Welch and Hannah Buckingham. She was christened there on 14 August 1655 in the first Church of Milford. Mary married Israel Holbrook, son of Richard Holbrook and Agnes (?), on 20 November 1667 in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut.¹ Israel & Mary had one child, Mary [4/07/1679]. Mary's husband, Israel, died on 29 December 1680 in Milford leaving her a widow. Mary married 2nd John Merwin on 12 April 1683.¹ Mary departed this life on Saturday, 20 October 1703 in Milford Township.
