Genevieve Meunier

     Genevieve was born on Friday, 10 March 1752 in Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Jean Meunier & Marguerite Riopel. She was christened there on 11 March 1752 in L'Annonciation Church.1 Genevieve married Pierre Ayotte, son of Ignace Ayotte and Anne-Francoise Lecuyer dit Laneuville, on 26 July 1773 in Louiseville, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine-de-la-Riviiere-du-Loup Church.2 Pierre & Genevieve had children: Pierre [5/22/1774-5/28/1810][m. 6/12/1797 Catherine Lemay], Genevieve [1776-8/12/1855][m. 6/12/1797 Francois Bernier], Marie Elisabeth [5/03/1779-9/29/1782], Judith [3/31/1781-3/30/1833][m. 10/07/1806 Louis Toupin Dussault], Marguerite [2/12/1783], Francois [12/27/1784][m. 10/06/1806 Maire Anne Cornellier dit Grandchamp], Thomas [11/11/1786][m. 9/19/1808 Angelique Morin], Elisabeth [6/06/1790][m. 9/19/1808 Jean Morin] & Marie Anne [2/11/1793-2/07/1794].3 Genevieve's husband, Pierre, died on 15 February 1827 in St-Joseph-de-Maskinonge leaving her a widow. Genevieve departed this life on Saturday, 16 December 1837 in Ste-Melanie-d'Ailleboust, Joliette County, Quebec, Canada. She was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Melanie on Monday, 18 December 1837.4
