     Charles-Olivier was born on Saturday, 31 August 1833 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade, Champlain County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 1 September 1833 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade Church.1 Charles-Olivier married his wife in Ontario, Canada. On 25 March 1861, Charles Marrand purchased the southeast quarter of lot 17 in the 11th concession from Norris Switzer and his wife consisting of 50 acres.2 On the 2nd of March 1875, Louis Trifley Maurand obtains from Charles Maurand the southeast quarter of lot 17 in the 11th concession containing fifty acres. Charles was a brother of Trifley. Charles-Olivier departed this life in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. He was buried there in St. Carthagh Churchyard on Saturday, 18 April 1903.3
