Marie Francoise was born on Monday, 12 July 1660 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 14 July 1660 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.¹ Marie Francoise married Charles Gingras, son of Hilaire Gingras and Francoise de St-Lotz, on 5 November 1675 in Riviere-Desroches, Quebec, Canada. The marrige was performed by the missionary Father Cyprien Dufort. It was then registered at Notre Dame de Quebec by the curator, Henri Debernieres.² 1681, Marie and her husband, Charles, were listed on the Canadian Census in St-Augustin de-Desmaures, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Charles Gingras [40 years], Francoise [24 years], Mathieu [5 years], Jean [3 years] & Charles [6 months].³ Marie's husband, Charles, died on 8 January 1710 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marie departed this life on Tuesday, 7 February 1736 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at age 75 years, 6 months and 26 days. She was buried there in the cemetery of St-Augustin Church on Wednesday, 8 February 1736.⁴
