     Christopher was born on Saturday, 28 December 1669 in Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island. Christopher married Joanna Slocum on 16 April 1690 in Portsmouth.2 Christopher and Joanna had one son, William [1/22/1700-4/17/1740] [m. Elizabeth Cranston]. Christopher married 2nd Mary Palmer in 1705 in Newport.3 Christopher's wife, Joanna, died on 3 April 1705 in Portsmouth leaving him a widower. Charistopher and Mary had children: Sarah [11/26/1706-9/14/1711] & Christopher [6/20/1711-9/23/1713]. Christopher departed this life on Wednesday, 13 July 1746 in Portsmouth at age 76 years, 6 months and 15 days. He was buried at Newport in Common Burying Ground. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Christopher Almy - 1746.
