Mary Palmer

F, b. May 1670, d. 15 September 1759
     Mary was born in May 1670 in Rhode Island. Mary married 2nd Christopher Almy Jr., son of Christopher Almy and Elizabeth Cornell, in 1705 in Newport.1 Charistopher and Mary had children: Sarah [11/26/1706-9/14/1711] & Christopher [6/20/1711-9/23/1713]. Mary's husband, Christopher, died on 13 July 1746 in Portsmouth leaving her a widow. Mary departed this life on Saturday, 15 September 1759 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island. She was buried there in Clifton Burying Ground. The inscription on her tombstone reads: IN MEMORY of Mary Widow of Christopher Almy Merch't. who died Sept. 15th 1759 Aged 89 Years & 6 Mo.
