Marguerite Lefrancois

     Marguerite was born on Monday, 2 February 1665 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 3 February 1665 in the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.¹ Marguerite married Louis Belanger, son of Francois Belanger and Marie Guyon, on 3 November 1682 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.² Louis and Marguerite had children: child [9/29/1685-9/29/1685], Francois [12/12/1686-12/12/1686], Francois [12/12/1686-11/12/1727][m. 11/16/1711 Genevieve Cloutier], child [5/15/1689-5/15/1689], Louis [4/23/1690-3/29/1721], Elisabeth [6/21/1692-6/21/1692] ,Elisabeth Isabelle [6/21/1692-1/08/1777][m. 10/18/1710 Alexis Lemieux], Marie Madeleine [11/10/1694-1/__/1726][m. 10/25/1723 Guillaume Lemieux], Marguerite [12/20/1696-7/04/1715][ m. 11/07/1712 Louis Couillard dit Lepine] , Barbe [2/14/1699-2/23/1699], Pierre [6/03/1700-7/31/1762][m. 11/12/1724 Genevieve Lessard], Jean Baptiste [3/29/1702-4/23/1702], Marie Francoise [4/25/1704-11/06/1774][m. 10/25/1723 Jean Baptiste Fortin] & Marie Marthe [6/19/1706-12/13/1776][m. 11/19/1725 Joseph Couillard de Secors].³ Marguerite's husband, Louis, died circa 1 October 1724 in L'Islet, L'Islet County, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Marguerite departed this life on Saturday, 29 October 1735 in L'Islet at age 70 years, 8 months and 27 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours on Monday, 31 October 1735.⁴
